When submitting a manuscript to Winter & Drew Publishing, your submission package should include the following elements:
– A
cover letter
– A one-page synopsis
– The first three chapters or 10,000 words of your manuscript.
Please read the instructions carefully to ensure your submission meets the requirements.

Cover Letter
Your cover letter serves as an introduction to you as an author and provides an overview of your manuscript. It should be concise, typically no more than one page, and include the following:

Introduction: Who You Are
Begin by introducing yourself. Include details about your background, your writing experience, and any relevant credentials. Highlight any previously published works, writing education, or involvement in the literary community.

What You Have Written So Far
Briefly describe your previous writing projects. If you have published any books, articles, or stories, mention them here. If this is your debut book, explain any writing or projects that helped lead you to this one.

Why This Book Has Come About
Explain the motivation behind writing this particular book. Was it inspired by personal experience, a professional interest, or a fascination with the subject matter? Describe what inspired you and how that shaped your work.

Where You Believe This Book Sits in the Market
Describe where your book fits in the current literary market. Specify its genre and target audience, and mention a few comparable or competitive titles to demonstrate your awareness of the market landscape.

One-Page Synopsis
A one-page synopsis provides a concise summary of your story, including its main characters, plot points, and themes. It should give us a clear understanding of the narrative and its development. Your synopsis should include:

Introductory Logline
The logline is a brief, one or two sentence description of your book that captures the essence of the story. It should introduce the central conflict and main characters in a way that intrigues the reader.

Plot Overview
In the main body of the synopsis, summarize the key plot points, including the beginning, middle, and end. Highlight the main characters, their conflicts, and their development throughout the story. Provide enough detail to show how the plot unfolds, but avoid getting bogged down in subplots.

Themes and Character Arcs
Briefly touch on the thematic elements of your story and the growth of your characters. Show how the protagonist evolves and what the core message of your book is.
