The Power of Place

Responses to the East Devon landscape

This anthology is the perfect companion for residents of East
Devon and for visitors to the area. This diverse and rich
selection of stories and encounters, settings and
environments, will – we hope – move and entertain you.

Experienced and published authors rub shoulders with firsttime
poets, school students and contributors in the later stage
of their lives. There is humour here and sadness, nostalgia
and provocation. The layers of history in every cliff face, sea
shore and town resonate throughout, accompanied by a
realisation that our own identities are found and formed in
relation to the natural world around us.
